November was shoebox time again in Gorran Haven. Throughout the year people in Haven Church, in the village and further afield donated items for Operation Christmas Child's Shoebox Appeal organised by the charity Samaritan's Purse. Volunteers assembled the boxes, filled them with the donated items and saw a good number at the special Shoebox Service where it was revealed that this year's total was 326 boxes. They were then delivered to one of the regional collection points to begin their journey to bring these Wow moments to needy children in many countries.
